The theatrical cut and the Argento cut of Dawn of the Dead are both great and worth watching. The Argento cut uses Goblin music and removes the comedy (like when characters get pied in the face). I have not seen the Cannes cut yet, but the film premiered at Cannes first, then Romero cut it down into the theatrical cut, which is also his endorsed director's cut.

the romance in coppola dracula is completely superfluous to the rest of the story taken from the book. it doesn't create any difficulties with johnathan, mina still aids in finding dracula so they can destroy him. it doesn't mesh together with the source material at all.

The romance in Coppola is bad but the movie is good enough that you can ignore it, Eggers don't know what he's doing.
