Finished Hotelier, had a great time. Objectively average, maybe better if you judge it by 2001 standards. The business/hotel politics and ridiculous kdrama romance moments actually balanced each other out pretty well.
There is a love square thing (pentagon technically) involving 2 indecisive/passive characters who are very frustrating at times. Probably my biggest issue. Song Yoon-ah's charm as an actress hard carries her character and the ending would've hit 100x better if she took initiative for once but w/e. Thankfully the other 2 leads are refreshingly direct, Song Hye-kyo's especially. Bae Yong-joon's big confession scene is hilariously OTT though. Memorable for reasons both intended and unintended. The power of Yon-sama...
Anyway, if love polygons or indecisive FLs bother you, this is probably one to avoid. I had fun though. Definitely recognize the hotel villa from modern dramas too
