The networks/platforms themselves don't really indicate much in terms of quality. And while some of them do have production companies, they don't work only with them. Not every tvN drama is made by Studio Dragon and not every drama made by Studio Dragon goes to tvN. From a cursory check, SBS and jTBC are the most consistent about involving their own production companies (Studio S and SLL respectively) in some capacity.
That said, many dramas that are often positively mentioned in this general do come from tvN - My Mister, Mother, the Reply series, Oh My Ghost, Alchemy of Souls, etc. Personally I've enjoyed dramas from everywhere so it's all the same to me.

And there could easily be a second season with all plot points that were not resolved and more of a focus on romance

Idk I like the variety in episode count now. Not every drama had the gas for 16-20 (or more sometimes) episodes so you'd get lots of dragged out plotlines and annoying stalling tactics. 10-14 is perfect for a romcom and simpler dramas imo

I loved Lost, but it's a good example of a show with lots of standalone filler episodes that didn't progress the main plot and would have no impact on the overall experience if you deleted half of them.

star trek and x-files were mostly standalone episode of the week, not trying to tell one continuous narrative, they don't compare to kdramas.
