I was expecting this to be cheap sounding, but fun. Kind of like a Fast and Furious movie or something. Some leave-your-brain-at-the-door cheap thrills. That's the pre-concieved notion I have around nu-metal, and what Linkin Park and SOAD do perfectly.

The reality is it's extremely fucking dull and boring. They can write a decent chorus, and Taylor is a good vocalist. That's about the only positives here. There's absolutely no riffs to be found anywhere. Or maybe I just can't hear them given the mix is flat and awful. Perhaps not a surprise when this retarded band has about 9 different instrumentalists in it vying for attention every song.

To top it off, some insufferable Nuerosis atmoshit worship prevalent throughout the album. Nuerosis are dogshit. All atmoshit bands and genres are dogshit. Atmoshit is not metal.
