There's ancient, dogshit model tendencies in there that have since been basically eradicated in newer models, and it just isn't all that interesting. It's working on ST as of now. Repull ST (update it). The APIs to DeepSeek R1 are working on the Custom (OpenAI Compatible) if you set prompt post processing to "Strict, user first." I think the DeepSeek ppl actually fixed it on their end, they weren't actually "openAI compliant" as advertised.

Strongly recommend you have terminal window open so you can see the reasoning steps. They are wild.

R1 is a trip. I've been working on a hypnosis card with DeepSeek-Chat. It behaved pretty normally, somewhat predictable. This is 10X level crazy. NPC literally lost her mind over a few rounds, and was already throwing herself at {{user}} with zero prompting and no guidance to be lewd anywhere in the defs or main prompts, before using the hypno triggers.

Reminder that R1 only becomes Claude-like when allowed to perform its thinking step first (this means a significant wait before you get your actual output, if there's no wait you're breaking thinking somehow, probably with a prefill). "Prefill" is adding custom prompt as assistant role to bottom of the prompt manager. Start that with <think>.
