Is it plausible that my home theater A/V receiver got damaged or something during moving? It doesn't sound as good now.
Long story: I moved a while back and packed up my AVR and speakers. In my old place, everything sounded great. Now, everything sounds a bit hollow and tinny. No amount of adjusting the settings on the receiver or the speaker placement seems to offer any improvement. I'm wondering if somehow the move damaged the receiver or the speakers or unplugging/plugging everything or who knows... Depends anon. I wouldnt buy one. An OLED by nature starts to degrades the second that you turn it on. TVs are better than monitors in that regard but, if you watch a lot of things that arent the aspect ratio of the TV you will get some uneven wear and static UI elements will find their way onto the screen if you only play one or two games. Burn in is going to happen no matter what. It just depends if you're the kind of person who is ok with replacing expensive purchases or if you buy something, you want it to work until it cant be repaired anymore. An OLED WILL burn in. Its just a matter of not pulling the short straw and how much youre willing to accept until you find that it becomes unbearable to look at. Approximately 12-15 hours ago, my ThinkPad docking station worked fine. I had a USB-A mouse connected, and two DisplayPort (to DVI) connected computer screens, and one HDMI connection (going to the docking station, rather than the laptop itself).

Now, none of the video outputs from the docking station seem to work. It can't be the video cables, because when I connect the HDMI directly to the laptop, it works. Can't test the DP(->DVI) adapters, because the laptop doesn't have DP output.

The next logical step would be to assume the docking station stopped working, or the USB-C cable connecting the two is not working. But when I press the docking station's power button, the laptop goes to sleep (or turns off, don't know, the docking station doesn't provide power). And the USB-A connected mouse works when the USB-C to USB-C cable is connects the docking station to the laptop.

So what gives?
What should I look at?
Is there somethin that I'm overlooking?
Can it be a problem with the display adapter in the laptop's OS (using Windows 11)?
Note that it's a company laptop, so I don't have admin rights.

Firefox won't open .gif files as it did before. I have Firefox as default program for .gif files. Before I re-installed Firefox everything worked fine. But now when Firefox is running and I try to open a .gif file (double click - and normally it would open in Fiefox), a message will pop up and telling me that Firefox is already running and has to be shut down in order to open the .gif file.
