>ryzen 7 8845hs
>rtx 4050 with (claimed) 100watts
>soldered 32gb ram
>1 tb ssd with another empty m.2 slot for upgrade
>2.5K ips screen with 16:10 ratio (this is important for me)
>thin, lightweight, doesn't have gaming shit and looks professional (also improtant for me)

crossposting >>103895104 here, was planning on buying a latitude 5430 but i got an itoy and its device continuity with linux is pissing me off so i'm wanting to switch to macos. since the latitude is 12th gen intel i can't hackintosh that thing so i have to downgrade gens, most reasonable alternative is getting a t480 as that's what comes closest to what i desire in a laptop but the performance cut is simply too much to be justified, specially considering i'm using this through college.

anyone wanna throw their two cents into this? m-series macs with over 16 gigs of ram are still 500$+ where i live, and god knows i'm not gonna pick a m1 mba over a thinkpad or latitude knowing those things kill themselves from swap usage or display connectors being poorly designed

I want something for $40
it can be shit but it should have a replaceable battery along with everything it needs to boot, not crusty/broken, and anything but a 1366x768 screen

You've fallen for the Apple Trap, congratulations. Either suck it up and pay for a Macbook or switch to Android, because the alternatives are unending pain (especially hackintosh),

What's a good upgrade from my hp spectre x360 from 2017 with an i5 7200u for $1000 or less. Plus if it's AMD but needs to be 13-14 inches and a 2 in 1
