I am a kinda burned out in my current developer/architect job with complex bureaucracy, dumb colleagues and the typical organizational chaos. It pays pretty good for Goymonistan though, like 95k. I am coasting but not really having fun.

I am in talks with another company for an architect position. In the first interview I understood that it was approx. 95k at first and after 6 months it should go to 107k because they wanted me and had to "upgrade" the the pay level of the position. All were approximate numbers and I didn't want to focus much on it at first.
Now in the last interview the concrete numbers came into light: the first year 87k and then 98k. It has a small yearly raise that translates up to +8% in 10 years though.

On one hand it is less money before it becomes more (3 years have to pass in order to compensate the low salary on the first year) but it sounds more interesting and I am kinda fed up with my current position. I don't know if the financial hit is worth "having fun" at the job again.

The rational part of me says that it's not worth the change when it's a downgrade. On the other hand, if I had to work, even if it's "real" work only for 10 hours a week or so, I'd like it to be interesting.

Am I dumb for even considering the offer?

Last year I made 198k base salary, vested 48k in RSU, got 10k in 401k match and then maybe 25k in bonus (pre tax on everything).
