Interesting result for me, 13 days after I stopped doing the ladder method, and had more or less forgotten about/gived up on it, I was asked by my father to help him work on something that required a ladder.
This is remarkable to me, as I had no reason to believe I would need to use a ladder anytime in the near future, and haven't needed to use one for something prior to this range of time in months if not over a year.
I think what people say about forgetting about/giving up on the manifestation has some value, as this happened once I was no longer thinking about manifesting a ladder at all.

so instead of saying "I wish this was true, I want it so desperately" you should just say "It is"

But it usually isn't that easy straight from the beginning.
Of course you would explore it mentally, and really change your perspective and think "Really, what would it be like if I had X?" And you might have to do some rethinking. What if you really did have this new thing? Well things would be different.
How would they be different? You'd have to figure it out. And you would change as a person as you did figure it out. so the inner change would manifest in an outer change, and you'd get the thing you wanted.
And you could make it more and more realistic, as you explored it. This is essentially a spirit quest. The more you explore the scenario, the more you figure out what might actually happen if it happened for real, and so it becomes more realistic and natural.
It "just is". It's something you know, something you do, something you understand. So it isn't "new" any more. It just is.
And then you're ready. Right? I think that's how it works. maybe
So you should do SATS, until it feels natural and feels real. Like you really understand what it would feel like to have X, and it's just natural for you now.
And at that point, it "just is".
Using it as a cope, or self medicating for a shitty life won't do it. Though it might be nice, and make you feel better at the start. But it needs to become natural at some point. That makes sense.
