my murderbox blowing the legions of robots sent against it away with impunity makes me very happy. Great audio on weapons and infinite customisation of your base. Plus heaps of upgrades for your own character.
Its a flawed game tho, the early game is rough, its cost the game alot of prestige and mainstream appeal. Plus its unforgiving for performance if you dont have a reasonably high-end rig. Utterly unique game that i havent seen anything else remotely like however. My murdershed of robo-death is my baby i love it.
Whats your niche game you love that nobody talks about /v/? and why do you like it? and why do you think /v/ doesnt talk about it?

Outside of that brief RTS thread, hardly anyone talks about Sins of a Solar Empire 2 here. Strategy games just don't get the same attention like they used to in the 90's and early 2000s's.

i tried playing it but it handled worse than Homeworld 2 so i just found it annoying and gave up quickly.
RTS's are a mess, i was in that thread too last night. Not sure what all the RTS fans migrated to over the years but the genre is almost entirely dead.
Outpost has some elements of what people liked in RTS's though, and tower def games of course. AFAIK not a single /v/irgin poster owns this game except for me.

I played the game for a while but I got stuck on the grind.
It's pretty fun though, maybe I'll give it another go

I have a couple ideas that I think could make a good strategy game but I have 0 artistic talent in 2D or 3D and no clue about programming. How the fuck do you make a game as just one guy?

It's the type of game that needs multiple hours long sessions to "get into". I bought it at launch because the premise sounded cool and I wanted to see how UE5 performs (unremarkable, it turns out). But never really dug into it.
