Also, Drift sort of actually has personality, Operator hasn't ever gotten decent characterization in any story quest beyond sassing the Queens once and acting confused twice, once with our Uncle and once with Drifter. NTA but its a pretty simple rpg in the main story and side stories are either VNs or turn combat into puzzles since for normal mode the characters are locked to the ones they give you so there's a way to solve each encounter. Theres pvp, event bosses, and guild raids but I ignore most of that since the events give you more than enough rolls for just playing casually like the free daily on each banner that running. Most annoying thing is probably weapon crafting but thats mostly for min maxing pvp from what I've seen.

TLDR: Gameplay is fun, F2P friendly, devs are generous and keep adding ways to get SSR units for free in shops. You could always look up the cutscenes though

Game is consistently in the top 20 players on steam.
Content is (almost) never sunsetted, and the few times it happened literally no one was playing it (raids and lunaro... or can you still play lunaro?). You have over a decade of content to play and grind for.

I highly recommend either finding someone to play with or using the wiki and new player videos extensively though. New player experience is probably one of the worst you'll ever see.

I mean, Serration falls off the moment you touch Steel Path in the System, not even counting the harder stuff. You'd get more damage if you just swapped it for a static Elemental mod most of the time so long as you're building correctly. It's not a 10% difference, it's literally 100%+ or more at times depending on if you're running a weapons platform Warframe and who you're fighting. Hey, that's not dunking on you, you can just queue and do fine, but the discrepancy between a good build and a mediocre one is hilariously massive.

I don't like relying on base damage from arcanes either
acuity is reliable on fast-firing weapons, and weapons with additive gunCO use galvanized aptitude for much better base damage and other benefits. both of those will be a huge difference, much more than 10%
hell there's even spectral serration if your frame uses invis
this is important when you're doing lvlcap and maybe solo EDA but if you're just playing casually then yes it really doesn't matter
