Here's the plot for Resident Evil 6. Big America CIA HeatColdMan (Simmons) had a crush Ada and was rejected. So he made his own Ada clone in his secret underground Illuminati cult lab. This Ada clone was originally a different person(?) who was force to become Ada through the cloning Magic Science Voodoo process. Once she was cognitive that she was going to be CIA HeatColdMan (Simmons) dedicated sex doll she haywire and started causing havoc. She pretended to be the real Ada while letting BioOrganicWeapons out in the world as her revenge scheme. Clone Ada, I think Carla was her name, wasn't a very bright person.

Meanwhile you had Sherry and Wesker Junior as the B plot of the game. Out of all the deadweight campaigns that should be dropped in a remake, it should be Chris and his subordinate. Because so much of the plot is about Ada you can't just axe her. Gameplay wise RE6 regresses the hidden stagger of RE4 and RE5, shooting enemy body parts won't immobilize them all the time now. The mid bosses like the chainsaw are a perfect example of this flaw. RE6 Remake Leon campaign should be like RE2-RE4, Sherry/Wesker Jr should play like RE3, and Ada is literal filler.

This is what was wrong with re6 imo. The previous 2 games were about shooting limbs or head, stagger, melee, and crowd control. Re6 was about mag dumping tanky enemies that barely ever stagger or react until they melt to death (which felt really unsatisfying), parrying, and running out of stamina all the time.
It was a really annoying change in gameplay.
