One interesting thing about the pony and illustrious models is that they're made by different people but they look very similar which leads me to assume they both trained on the same booru datasets in a similar fashion(unlike NAI which probably has higher IQ people styling the models).
It makes me think that there is an average art style for the dataset even though it's quite large, something that you could call the "booru art style" that something like dalle might pick up on.

AI is easier than making art. Granted. But it actually takes more steps than copy-pasting memes, which has been a staple in dedicated /v/ threads since /v/ was made.
So, this 'slop' is actually taking more steps than other precedented /v/ threads that nobody ever complains about.

It's weird that reposting meme templates that are either ancient and overused, or straight from other websites is championed but AI art caused butthurt. Given, it's much less nowadays but for a site where the most dogshit memes and phrases get overused and recycled it always seemed hypocritical to get angry about A.I when moments ago people were in an arms race to find the most low effort terrible thing they can find and shove it in your face.
