Well the show is made deliberately so you'll need to re-watch it to get all the jokes. No one no matter how smart would likely catch everything in on viewing. It's not about IQ, it's more the fact that no one is used to that kind of pacing. No one is ready for it. Most people don't get into XRA the first time they happen upon it.
