The difference between western and Asian players in Master Duel is that a western player will just surrender if they lose. The Asian will turn their wifi off so they """disconnect""" because they're ashamed of admitting you won

The easiest way to get the go-second missions done is to idle the opponent with an auto clicker and fish for scoops or the occassional disconnect from a phone player
