I agree with that but if all we have is fond memories then you might as well think of the franchise is dead. It's gone but its memory will live on. You're not going to get stories from the people now in charge that give you the same sense of wonder and whimsy as the originals did so look elsewhere if that's what you seek. If you're content just looking back on the originals that's fine.

I'm glad I paid attention to all of Lucas's interviews and even own a good chunk of them, man. Just remember, I'm telling you that a real re-release of the originals will happen, it's just a matter of time. I'm a nobody, but I found a way to push the issue....One Last Time.

Watched it, it was just a bitter depressed gen x retard nitpicking fun films because he was hoping to get the same feeling the originals gave him when he was young but the joy and precariousness of youth had left him long ago, so all of his adult misery was laser ponted at this one thing. I watched the prequels when i was a kid and was obsessed with them. I watch them today and they hold up. The Maul fight is still the highlight of SW
