It's gonna be mostly lame and I thought he said years ago It's not about aliens

Setting it early in the timeline retroactively fucks the stakes of the movies. The underlying thing across them is making sure they never reach Earth. AvP also fucked up in this regard.
I want to be optimistic but can’t find it in myself. Hawley couldn’t even understand the plot of Fargo when he made a show based on it, and he filled it with random shit as a result of his misunderstanding. The idea of him honouring this franchise properly seems incredibly unlikely

>Hopes?
It's good, well acted, has lots of Xenomorph screentime and there's tension.
Hard mode: it actually does something interesting with the Alien and it's more than just "man plays God>Xenomorph breaks loose>Xenomorph kills everyone>Xenomorph gets killed>very few characters survive". There's a book called "Aliens Phalanx", and that book is about people on a planet with bronze age technology knowledge who've known the Xenomorphs for the entire lives, and they fight the Xenos with spears and shields and it's really cool and creative.
>fears
It's bad and focuses on human drama or some garbage instead of the Alien. I watch Alien for the ALIEN first and foremost.

Not until at least the second to last episode of the season or later. You have to build up to it. Introduce the characters, factions, stakes, set the stage. The xeno should be saved for like the climax or the heighten the conflict. Once the xeno is out, everything changes. Release it too soon and it's like you blew your load within seconds of entering the chick

Alien didn't wait until 20 minutes before the end until the Xeno was introduced. Alien is NOT a slow burn, bone chilling, nothing-ever-happens franchise. Leave that stupid shit to A24.

Kek, both Alien and Aliens didn't introduce the xenos until around 60%+ of the way through the movies. Neither was throwing them in your face from the get go

Facehugger appears 30 minutes in in Alien. If you count the Directors Cut of Aliens, which James Cameron says is the definitive version, it's about the same. If you don't, Aliens reaches the chestburster dream sequence in about the same amount of time. Don't bullshit me about Alien.
