He was recruited by Brighton for 1m, had a spell at their academy then sent on loan to At Pauli, then Swansea then to Coventry. He wasn't developing in the right way for the Premier League or to suit Brighton so was sold to Coventry for a small profit. He most certainly wasn't. 5 goals, 11 assists in 50 games is a joke for £100m when you're an attacking player. Especially when you've got the likes of Haaland, KdB, Rodri etc all playing with you. It's not like you're hitting balls to Djemba-Djemba.

I mean I watched City (I don't support a PL team) in highlights on MotD so I can't confirm whether true or not but I wasn't awed by him and thought he was often the weakest player on the pitch. He was in terms of attacking.

>>146832924
United want silly money for all their players. They want £50m for Rashford. £50m for Antony and they want £55m (reduction from £60m) for Garnacho (though apparently £60m will still apply if Chelsea want him and they're also apparently going for Sesko; Chelsea never run out of money and can just do what they want).

United apparently have £120m to spend without breaking rules* so I don't even know why they're up for selling Garnacho outside the fact he said he wants to go but that was under Ten Hag so I dunno if anything has changed. He's one of the best players at the club so selling him would be stupid because who do you get in that is much better but cheaper? If you can, why don't Napoli or Chelsea sign him? Only way I could see this working is if United sell him for £55m and put a 25% sell on fee clause too.
Anonymous 01/22/25(Wed)23:15:03 No.146834145
>>146834078
*Even if they do break the rules, the FA just let them off and say it's OK. Like they did last year, giving them £40m for free despite it being x20 (TWENTY TIMES) larger than any other claim from any other club with no mitigating circumstances why they could get £40m for COVID losses while every other club managed £2m max.
