I guess quick iteration doesn't work after all...
Who would've guessed rocketry is nothing like being a code monkey?

The exact same people who ridicule Musk for for his rocket failures will scream that he has an UNFAIR monopoly on space launches when he succeeds.

no it doesn't, which is why spacex is struggling as a space company against the likes of blue origin which sits at the top of the space industry

Iterative engineering works, but it doesn't guarantee every test or iteration is successful, it just means that your informed trial and error is likely to produce improved results on average from one generation of a design to the next.
It still beats sitting around on your asses for 10 years, making one test flight, and then shutting the program down for another 10 years.

Except it literally doesn't.
In spite of all the political meddling NASA still delivers faster than Musks does.

>I guess quick iteration doesn't work after all...
Elon is a fag but SpaceX gains more data from these explosions than they do from successful launches. This used to happen more frequently than the successful launches when they first began
It's like with plane crash investigations.
The reason air travel has become so safe is because every time a plane crashes they do an insanely thorough investigation and when the cause is determined they enact changes to make sure it doesn't happen again. There are only so many things that can possibly go wrong, so eventually you eliminate many of the biggest risks.

Iteration isn't the problem. It is just hard to believe all those engineers couldn't foresee such a failure.

Musk is pushing them to release as soon as possible in software house-like fashion and they no longer feel like fighting back since they probably discovered along the way the whole design is flawed in some way and can't be made to work in current shape and form.

Why don't they just let it fall and recover it rather than blowing it up?
They probably cheaped out on sensors like they did for the rest of the aircraft so they wont know what actually went wrong anyways.

RUD is a technical term.
Starship didn't explode after take off. It RUDED at the engine shutdown phase while in orbit. That was ~7-8mins in flight.

A piece of exploded rocket can do a lot less damage because of the lower mass and also the lower terminal velocity from not being connected to the rest of the rocket
>rocket, now gigantic kinetic projectile, in one piece
>obliterates any boat it lands near and probably disintegrates and sinks when it crashes into the water anyway since it's made of steel
>rocket in 6 gorillion pieces
>small piece of debris merely kills one crewman or scratches the deck

making a small rocket is easy and proven technology. musk only knows how to steal stuff, there's nothing to steal for starshit, pajeets have to develop it from scratch. his companies also have zero quality control.
