it's not quite a color shift in the sense of changing hue, only saturation
there's good latitude on film, they probably suggest overexposing it because this way you can get details in the shadows because people who buy these types of film (overpriced respooled stuff) are hipsters and teenagers with point and shoots who don't know what they're doing
