Ramp for a pickup, or small open trailer behind an suv
outerwear, gear, helmet
Fuel/oil for the sled isn't terrible, fuel for the car you'd be spending anyways going to ski areas
Sled registration's pretty cheap ($20-50/year)

Beats the shit out of snowshoeing, and you don't have to deal with lifts/ski areas.

I wasnt a liftscum as we called them but even worse I worked in housekreeping. I got to maintain the pools so I was outside a lot and didnt have to clean rooms but I was working with folks who were there for the job not the skiing lol
I lived in resort housing so the drive was only 20 minutes up a mnt in the dark but it was buttfucking cold (-30f). Had to be at work at 6am some days. Got to ski on my lunch hour+ my first year but finagled a much better job the next year that didnt start until 2pm. Skied almost 90 days that year
