I was in Kenya watching Forest Gump with a Swahili-speaking tribeswoman, who I was sleeping with at the time. Does Sunshine count? It's like if Interstellar was actually good. In fact, Interstellar copied pretty much its entire sequence of events straight from Sunshine, except it added an unnecessary time fuckery element to it and made it 3 hours long.

If it needs to be more terrestrial, I choose Quigley Down Under. It's a western, and the premise is basically the Quigley has what is essentially a sniper rifle while everyone else just has handguns. Has Aboriginals and a young Professor Snape.
