Why do atheists seem to believe that Hell is just one big musical party? Why is it that they get all of their biblical "knowledge" from fictional television shows created by non-Christians?
Is it because they are too afraid to read the bible and face the realities of the fiery pit of eternal damnation?

Probably because the fiery, eternal torment that Christians masturbate to doesn’t even exist in the Bible.

The
>Lake of Fire
In Revelations is stolen from the Book of Enoch. Even so, there’s nothing to imply it’s eternal burning. More like a soul-deletion.

>Hurr duh rich man and Abraham
That’s a parable, and, even so, there’s nothing claiming it’s eternal either.

It's all about folk Christianity
In Folk Christianity Hell is a place where bad people go, for example murderers and rapists, and the rest go to Heaven
In Folk Christianity people in Hell are punished by Satan and the demons

But the answer you're looking for is yes.
Unless one of the Christcuck's are going to bring up the "Limbo" fanfiction, that was taken from the Greek/Roman's Asphodel Meadows or the Jewish's Sheol.

>Jesus never said Lazarus and the Rich Man was a parable
It’s literally a parable, you fucking retard. It also can’t possibly be true because the “man in hell” is talking directly to the “man in heaven,” which isn’t possible if heaven/hell are separate destinations. Especially since, in the traditional Christian mythology, god can’t be around sin, aka hell, which is apparently only speaking distance from god.

Also, if we’re being actually honest, the rich man is not in hell. He is in “Sheol” (or Hades, whatever). The poor man is also in “Sheol” (same place), but the ancient Jews believed good people got a nice spot in Sheol (Abraham’s Bosom), but it’s more like a separate room, not a different place. The Jews believed all humans went to the same afterlife (Sheol), and some had better spots in Sheol than others. The Jews believed in Heaven (the place god resides), but they didn’t think it was possible for a human soul to go there, ever, under any circumstance.

Hell is a Christian invention.

It really depends on what brand of Christianity we’re talking about. We’ll go through some.

A baby is thrown out a window. What happens to the baby’s soul?
>Catholics
Official stance was “Limbo,” until very recently. The current stance is “The Vatican doesn’t know, but god will make the right decision” or some bullshit. Basically, co-out answer.
>Typical Evangelicals
A lot of them say there’s an “Age of Accountability” in which a sinner is not responsible for their sins. Basically, if die before like 8 years old or some shit, you automatically go to heaven because god understands you didn’t have a real chance to convert. This number is arbitrary, and I’ve seen everything from 2 to 13. There’s no real text to support this. It just feels good to Evangelicals, which is where all their theology comes from.

There’s two major issues with this. For one, where ever you set the number, there is somebody out there who just missed it. Like if the age is 8, some non-Christian died at 9 and went to hell. If he had died a few months earlier, he’d go to heaven. Seems kinda shitty. Secondly, this also means the smartest thing to do is to toss every baby out a window so they automatically go to heaven and don’t risk hell at all. It sounds absurd, but shit like this has happened. A woman in Florida drowned her sons to save them from the Rapture or some bullshit. I dunno.

Anyways, this explanation sucks all around.

>Other Protestants
Some denominations don’t believe in “Original Sin,” which eliminates most issues with the above explanations. The only problem is, once again, the most logical thing is to throw every baby out a window to escape hell.

>Calvinists
The baby was pre-destined to reject god. The baby goes to hell. He never had a chance.

I like that answer because it is the most honest. Calvinism is unironically the only branch of Christianity that makes sense. It’s a monstrous ideology, but it is at least logical.

The entire premise of repenting is fucking stupid, since an all-knowing being would already know if they were going to repent, so based on that, they could have done literally anything, and even died before repentance, and still "G*d" would have known they were going to, so would have let them in regardless. Abrahamism is a shit-show of retarded ass-pulls and skewed logic that just doesn't make the cut. You have more consistency in Hinduism, or Asherahism.

I mean 'weeping and gnashing of teeth' could really imply a lot of different things.
It could be a holding period where the sinful see God, feel bad for not following Him, and are eventually saved.
Or it could be a purgatory without punishment, or being sent (eventually) to non-existence

You know what would make some sense? If people who were never exposed to Christianity before death re-incarnated.

I mean, that would mean the children dead wouldn't go to hell, but also wouldn't mean that killing infants would be in any way morally righteous. Since in this case infanticide wouldn't save a baby from hell, just put them back in the system until they die as either a Christian or a Non-believer.

It might also explain the prevalence of the belief of reincarnation across Asia.
Maybe, since they never had a chance to adopt the Christian mindset, they did reincarnate.
And God, of course, is powerful enough to reincarnate whoever he wants to reincarnate.
