Linus is not a show unto himself, but rather another part of a fully functioning channel made useful by the video editors and vital production members working on each episode. There really is a Linus, and these people are watching him, but he is just a part of the video they watch.
Linus is the presenter: the person in the team that explains the tips on the video.
