i mix and write music on audio technica athm50x's because they sound juicy and musical, but i'm finding after spending a lot of time working on sub freqs, it is my upper mid/top range that sounds inconsistent on other systemsin terms of volume...any one have any experience with senn h650s? i think using these with the technicas in combination with my stereo monitoring could help even out the uppers.

Don't mix treble on headphones. Never going to work. It will change by 10dB on sennheisers just from pad wear and it's already off from online graphs out of the box due to the clamp force, the position on your head and your ear shape.

Nice! You must be really happy! Those ear pads are as thick as Angela White!

Also, I'm so glad that I bought the Beech version of the FiiO FT1 because its headband looks like it's going to last for eternity, whereas the Black Walnut version looks like it's going to last only a few years. Just look at these pictures.

audeze maxwell
Recently I bought the Audeze Maxwell and I can use them through usb wired or bluetooth, but not with the usb dongle.
When I try to play audio connected with the dongle, the headphones disconnect and reconnect again.
I've tried factory resetting, reinstalling the drivers, using other usb ports, but nothing solves it and they are unusable connected that way.

Has anyone had any problems like that, or is my unit just faulty?

had the same problem with mine, it *kinda* fixed itself when i updated the firmware on both the dongle and headset but it didnt really fix it for long because it would just disconnect again after 30-45 minutes. every usb port on my pc, laptop, tried on a usb 2.0 hub, nothing, all had the same issue. it was the playstation version.
i just ended up selling mine, couldnt be fucked dealing with that shit.

yeah, it was disappointing. it was great when it worked, but meh. it's most probably the dongle itself that was the issue, not getting enough power or something because reseating would make it connect again then die, which i think they know because they're selling it separately now.

I've got a schiit modi multibit DAC that's been causing trouble lately.

I've got it connected via USB and any time it's plugged in it'll prevent my PC from booting or even posting properly. It'll just hang at the BIOS splash screen forever until I unplug it. Once I plug it back in it won't be recognized by windows at all for around 20-30 minutes until it gets picked up and starts working normally. Sometimes it'll pop up exactly as expected if I power it off and back on again. Then once it's recognized I can reboot the computer and it'll behave completely normally again until it's been powered off for some indeterminate amount of time.

Any ideas? It still works perfectly once it's picked up so I'm pretty sure it's a USB controller issue. I'm close to buying an S/PDIF adapter at this point because fiddling with it is just annoying.

Change USB mode in BIOS, try other ports, make sure your DAC isn't in a sort of FW update mode where it appears as a USB drive (not sure it can but I've had gamepads doing that).
