Well I'd describe it as "fine" over here, unless a current year trackpad is supposed to keep moving the cursor if you move your finger from some point not on the edge to some point on the edge of it (none of the windows laptops I have access to do this).

If you're doing actual work on a computer, you're predominantly using the keyboard and the trackpoint is essential ergonomic design. You'd think so, due to consumer pricing but enterprise gets ass pounded by the rest as well. A Dell that should run 1500 at worst will be sold to enterprise customers for 3-4k. The macs I've deployed tend to have fewer issues and need fewer part swaps or whole replacements. Users aren't begging me for a refresh after 3 years like they do with our dells. Long term (10yrs+), macs come out on top.
