Suspenders are the best kept secret in menswear, but only the button ones. Clip ons are for nerds and faggots.

Suspenders are great because they can really help your pants drape properly, way more that a belt can. If you're buying off the rack pants like most of us are, they aren't cut for your body, they're cut in an average shape that works ok for the most people possible. With suspenders they hold your pants up but you can also adjust the tension to help control where the trousers sit on your body and how they drape.
And if you're wearing them under a sport coat, a sweater, a vest, etc people won't see them or know you have them on.

I like wearing them a lot, they are comfy and the warmth over your shoulders feels a bit reassuring too.

the models are like skinny asian guys and a skinny pear shape white guy. they look dorkish with just a suspender and shirt 70% of the time but when they have a jacket, sweater or vest on the fit is sick.
