holy shit i do the exact same thing. the most important part is doing the cheese last or just omitting it all together for your own better cheese because it just turns to goo if you heat it too much. If I'm really lazy I'll just remove the cheese and microwave everything else first and put on my own cheese when it's done and still hot

if you can put things in a pan to heat up, then you can cook. that's literally what cooking is.

As far as frozen slop this shit is actually quite good. Had to stop eating them after my recent diabetes diagnosis though.

Or
>buy pack of croissants
>buy sausage patties
>by carton of eggs
>by cheese slices
>fry the egg and heat the sausage patties
>toast the fresh croissant add dash of butter
>put the cheese on the sausage patty in the skillet so it melts
>form a fresh sausage egg and cheese croissant
tastes 10000x better

10000x is quite an exaggeration, it's more like 2x better at most

If peeling apart a microwave breakfast sandwich and heating each part individually is 10x better then buying all the ingredients and making it from scratch yourself is 100x better at the very lest.

finding small enough crossionants is the first problem, then you need to shape an egg on the griddle to fit (usually need a jumbo) and then make a patty to fit. you can't just get the medallion patties that are frozen. this is better tasting to make it from raw ingredients but it is admittedly more of a pain in the ass than a basic disassembly of a jimmy dean sandwich.

The point is NOT to make them from scratch, though.
If I want crisp sausage and convenience both, I know I can buy a large 2lbag of precooked frozen sausage patties or links and slap them into a skillet until sizzling. If I want a crisp from the toaster english muffin, yup, cook it. A high heat nonstick makes short order of an single egg. Why would you pay for 4 items in a box if you didn't want to nuke it with a paper towel and walk away to warm through until ready to consume it.

I have purchased the new Jimmy Dean toaster hand pies with egg, sausage and cheese, and 2 cycles in the toaster, they remind me of a jamaican beef pattie crust. Pretty nice, and a teensy bit small. I also think the microwaveable stuffed hash browns are nicely crisped in the nonstick sleeve. Again, it's a convenience food I'd only turn to when I need to get up at 3am for a flight, or something unusual like that.

that sounds like a lot more work than just putting it in the microwave and waiting 2 minutes
Anonymous 01/22/25(Wed)20:39:43 No.21124841
>>21124688
It takes like 1 minute for it to heat up to brown in pan
Toast croissant about the same
Slightly more work but way better result

Here's the thing, I can't see how making the sandwich yourself would actually be less expensive or healthier.

lol, for all that trouble you could just cook a real breakfast. Once you involve more than one appliance you're no longer utilizing "convenience food" properly.

But let's promote MORE frozen and readymade garbage foods packed with preservatives and chemicals. Drive-throughs, telephone application coupons, deliveries... this is what /ck/ is becoming.
I hope you're proud of yourself, lazy faggot.

I stopped buying frozen premade shit after I noticed they put the most rotten ingredients into the mixture. Black potatoes, wilted veggies. Meat that is mostly fat and gristle. I make everything from scratch now. You are paying a premium for frozen garbage.

Enjoy'em now. I hit my early '40s and I couldn't stomach this shit, any longer. The weird grease oozing out and whatever chems they add, to make it "microwaveable" play hell with my gut.
