some soul woman outside of ralphs around christmas time was hawking small single serving cake pans she baked herself with a variety of flavor options, with the proceeds going towards (whatever)
when I saw she had yellow cake and chocolate frosting I paid the exorbitant $10 each because I had no change, so i paid $20 right after leaving a grocery store to buy some fresh baked cakes
it was worth it. those were the start of me fatting the fuck up over the winter break

Thank goodness they were tasty, unfortunately at my Ralph’s all I ever saw were kids selling candy for “charity”, or adults selling tickets for pancake breakfasts on the other side of the city (I’m not driving 2 hours round trip for pancakes lol).
