I always bought expensive green tea from local random stores (Austria) that was not too bad. I follow the basic rules for brewing green tea.

I traveled to japan and expected the green tea to be a lot better. I was shocked to find the free green tea offered in most restaurants to be better than what I got at home.

On a whim I bought some japanese green tea (pic related) and the tea I made with it is mind blowing. https://int.japanesetaste.com/products/suisouen-high-grade-sencha-green-tea-loose-leaf-tea-100g

My request to you enlightened anons is to show me the way.
I read this thread a few times but considered it to be snobbish autism. I was wrong, you are right.

From here, what tea would you recommend. I want to see how good green tea can be.

It's crazy. Best tea I ever had was a Japanese sencha from a tea shop in Rzeszów, Poland of all places. Drinking it felt like an out of body experience and I'm still chasing that high.
