I dont know yet. I was going to take him to the vet but i caught the flu and i have been in bed with fever for two days.

Depends on why are they giving up?
My labrador with hip osteoarthritis wont use wheelchair because it will ruin his hips. He must try to walk as much he can otherwise his legs will worsen

My family dog wasn’t able to get up. I took her in and started giving her raw red meat. No more kibble unless emergencies. Assisted walks with a double harness. 2 walks a day on soft ground. Keep her interest in the world high. Lots of love. She’s stabilized and i think she’ll continue to her normal old age. God speed
Tip: take the dog off kibble if you can it inflames some dogs nervous system and red meat helps them rebuild muscle and control and reawakens their genetic powers of dynamic muscle movement
